* Update: Artistic Autistic Lauren will welcome Tootsie home mid-December 2024! *

I’ve been approved to adopt Tootsie!
She comes home mid-December, yay!
In the meantime, as she gets used to more socialization at the Cat Cafe, gets to know me, and gets more confident, I want to learn her body language.
I want to understand when she’s had enough petting, wants her space, is anxious, etc., so I can be awesome to her throughout our life together.
So while I feel like a villain for pushing her boundaries, as you can see in these videos, it’s going to be really helpful for us as we go.

I hope to eventually adopt my next Soul Kitty from a local org, and especially love the Kitty Cat Cafe in Peabody, MA!

They take such excellent care of the cats, limit visiting hours with the public, have weekly Vet Tech medical checkup visits, and partner with local adoption orgs!

I’d already applied to adopt with PALS, one of these local orgs, in preparation for my next Autism support Cat.
My last soul kitty and Autism support cat, Sybill Tribble, had been a PALS cat before, and I know they do a great job.

Today I met an amazing candidate, Tootsie!
She and I fell in love with each other.
Whether I’m lucky enough to adopt her or not, I know she’ll bring love, purrs, and cuddles wherever she goes.
… (but I really, really hope she’s my next soul kitty!) 🙂
